Blog two: The Fight Continues

So far Goliath hiding, David lost in email cyberspace !
Not one word from Amazon by email or phone as promised. Sent another email to customer service, and received no response. Went searching for different contact info, which by the way is very difficult to find. Amazon does not have Head office phone numbers or contact names available

Found another phone number for Amazon customer service and tried it. Spoke with “YEN” at another outsourced Customer service site. She is very sorry to hear that the reviews were removed and if I would just hold for a few minutes (10 to be exact) she would look into it.
When “Yen” returned she had me go to Amazon.com and find reviews from 2005 that were still there. I explained that the reviews from 2005 until 2011, numbering thousands were missing. I asked for a phone number or contact information for someone that did handle this and she could not give me one. She asked me to hold as she said she had never handled this problem before. (10 more minutes on hold)
When she returned she informed me that Community Help department would be in touch by email within 24 hours. Isn’t this what we were told by “Marg” last time and still no email from Community Help! BACK TO SQUARE ONE.

In the meantime, I have tried to inform as many authors as I can about this problem and the responses are coming in. It appears many people have a problem with Amazon. We are just one of several companies and private reviewers, that have had professional reviews removed from Amazon since the first of the year. I have learned that Amazon encourages authors to use THEIR REVIEW SERVICE !! Well, well, well, I wonder if this has anything to do with the reason for deleting reviews from other outside sources It wouldn’t be an attempt at a monopoly, would it?

Stay tuned, the fight continues
